    Lots #1 and #3 have been sold.

    Lots 4 and 12 are under contract to close mid June, pending financing approval by third party lender.

    Debris piles on Lot #9 are scheduled to be burned at first chance by contractor paid in advance for this service, weather dependent.

    Lot #1 is under contract, scheduled closing date April 28, 2008.

    Lot 4 Soils work done to prove 4 bedroom septic. See Septic field notes.

    Seeking 4 bedroom documentation on other lots as weather and soil scientist time permit.

    High speed wireless internet service is now available at Amber Ridge due to tower facility on top of mountain.

    Update 11-6-07

    SOILS WORK AND LOT RATINGS: Lots 4, 7, 8, and 11 are unsold lots currently rated for 3 bedroom. I am having Mr. Harr, a soils scientist, perform field work and provide supporting documentation that will support application for 4 bedroom houses on these lots. Adastra, LLC currently holds a permit for a 4 bedroom septic field on unsold Lot 9, though this permit is not transferrable to a purshaser and the documentation would have to accompany another permit application by the lot purchaser. Whether or not the drainfields can be moved to other locations on each lot is open to determination by the soils scientist under agreement with a prospective or actual lot purchaser. Whatever soils documentation that are generated for and paid by Adastra shall be available for use by any purchaser to apply for enlargement of a septic field allowing a 4 bedroom house. All decisions on whether an upgrade shall be allowed rests with County officials.

    ROAD STATUS: The road was paved with tar and chip gravel and full payment made thereon to Patterson Bros. per April 12, 2007 letter and check, Adastra LLC ch. #1009 for $35,800.00.

    TELEPHONE LINE STATUS: Telephone lines are not yet installed on Amber Ridge. The telephone contractor said lines can be run when the first foundation is put in place for house construction in the subdivision. Underground power is installed.

    All three bedroom septic ratings are being reviewed and soil work done to prepare for permit applications for 4 bedroom, pending approval of county officials.

    Welcome to Amber Ridge Subdivision, located in the farming community of Elon, Va., [Amherst County Va.], just a few miles from Madison Heights and just across the James River from Lynchburg, Va. Service to the Lynchburg area is now improved by the Rt. 29 bypass opened within the last two years. Improvements to the secondary road leading from Elon, Rt. 652 to Rt. 675 and Amber Ridge is budgeted for completion; surveying by highway crews has already begun.

    Adastra LLC is the sole developer and selling entity for this subdivision. John Lane is sole owner and managing member of Adastra, LLC. Lots are priced direct to you. Wells and underground power are already installed. Perk tests have been completed, and septic fields have been surveyed and located, but are not installed. Road has been graveled and will be tar and gravel paved in the spring, contract with paver has been executed by Adastra, LLC.

    Lots 5 and 6 are sold. Lots 1, 2, 3, 4, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, and 12 are for sale.

    Legal documents, disclosure papers, topographical maps, well head and septic locator plats are on this site for review. Developer has other on ground photographs and can provide interested buyers with further visual data on request. Meeting on site can be arranged by email or phone call to the Developer.

    Some grounds keeping is underway due to loss of apple tree viability and general road construction clean up.
